Hi! I'm Monica, and I'm a graduate of the University of Michigan-Flint with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, with a minor in Linguistics. I'm an alumna member of the Beta Lambda chapter.
I joined Theta Phi Alpha initially because I wanted sisters (I have two older brothers) and because the girls were really welcoming and fun to spend time with. As I've gotten to know them they've become very good friends of mine and I am proud to be a member of such an outstanding organization of women. <3
Not only has Theta Phi Alpha been a fun social experience for me, it has also played a huge part in molding me into the person I am today. If it wasn't for my involvement in Theta Phi, I wouldn't have developed the leadership skills I have now, the confidence to speak up about things that are important to me, and the ability to challenge the process while still respecting my peers and advisors.
The accomplishments I've made are the result of countless hours spent in meetings, planning events, sending emails, doing service projects, raising money, and course, spending time with and learning from my sisters. Though I've had many ups and downs during the last few years, if given the choice to go back and do it all over again, I wouldn't change a thing.
I love Theta Phi Alpha, and I'm a sister for life!
