I have worked here for one summer and this is where I had to save a little girl for the very first time, it was extremely scary but rewarding at the same time.
I digitize x-rays, ultrasounds, mammograms, pretty much anything that has film to read. I scan it into the computers so doctors have a more efficient way of viewing the films from multiple locations. I also pull charts for all of the radiology centers every day!
I volunteered in the emergency room at Genesys hospital. It was a very eye opening experience for me and I loved every minute of it. I got to help out with a lot of patients, getting them whatever they needed to feel more comfortable. I transported patients to radiology and the best part was that I got to be in the room when any time of emergency came in. I would have to stand there and basically be invisible but it was very exciting to see how everyone interacted with each other to save peoples lives.
I taught 8 & unders while giving swim lessons to children between the ages of 3-5. I love kids and I love being a swim coach! And I have been a lifeguard here for 5 years!!
